A 90-day AEO plan: baseline, improve, verify and learn.

A 90-day AEO plan should establish a defensible baseline, fix retrieval and product-evidence gaps, publish a small set of high-value improvements, earn legitimate independent corroboration and repeat comparable measurements. The plan should produce verified work and learning, not promise rankings on a deadline.

Build a 90-day answer engine optimization plan

1

Days 1 to 30: establish truth

Define category, audience, competitors, markets and commercial buyer questions. Save repeated answers across relevant assistants. Audit crawlability, indexation, structured data, product facts, analytics and source gaps. Select the few decisions that matter most rather than creating a broad content calendar.

2

Days 31 to 60: complete the strongest work

Improve existing category, product, use-case, pricing and comparison pages where possible. Create missing pages only when the intent is distinct. Add primary evidence, answer-first sections, internal links and schema. Verify every canonical URL and prepare factual authority outreach for human review.

  • Existing-page wins
  • Distinct new assets
  • Technical fixes
  • Authority opportunities
3

Days 61 to 90: remeasure and concentrate

Repeat substantially similar questions and compare citations, mentions and recommendations with the baseline. Review Search Console and qualified website activity separately. Refresh or consolidate weak pages, expand the clusters that show credible demand and document what the next cycle should do differently.

Questions buyers ask next

How many pages should a 90-day AEO plan include?

Only the distinct, researched pages justified by measured gaps and the team’s ability to review and connect them.

When should results be measured?

Measure a baseline before material work, verify changes immediately and recheck comparable questions after discovery can occur.

Can results be guaranteed within 90 days?

No. The period is useful for operating discipline, while external systems control crawl, selection and answers.
